Technology Development Programme
Whether you're a recent graduate or exploring a career change, our Technology Development Programme (TDP) provides a structured and rewarding pathway into roles such as a Software Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or Cyber Security Specialist. You’ll work on innovative solutions that create brilliant digital experiences for our customers, enhancing and complementing our trusted high street presence.
By the end of the programme, you’ll have developed the skills, experience, and confidence to take on a more senior role and make a real impact in shaping the future of our technology for our customers and colleagues.
Change Development Programme
Whether you're a recent graduate or exploring a career change, our Change Development Programme (CDP) equips you with the skills, confidence, and experience to thrive as a Project Manager or Business Analyst. Through hands-on learning and expert support, you’ll deliver meaningful change that benefits our customers and colleagues. You'll work across a range of change initiatives that vary in both size and complexity, gaining exposure to different methodologies, concepts and development opportunities.
By the end of the programme, you’ll have earned an industry-recognised qualification and delivered a range of change initiatives alongside experienced professionals, equipping you with the skills and experience to launch a successful career in change.
Apprenticeships
Start your career with purpose and potential. Earn, learn and make a difference. Apprenticeships offer a great opportunity to lead on projects and work activity while you’re studying for your qualification. We have schemes that run in our Chief Operating Office focusing on all things data and also have programmes in Customer Operations, where you’ll lead on creating meaningful customer experiences.
Internships
Explore what's possible! We run summer internships that can serve a crucial starting point in your career journey. Our internship opportunities average between 3-12 months depending on the programme, offering insights into different career possibilities across the bank. Spend time with our team, build your skills and get a real feel for a career in banking. Here you'll have the opportunity to work out what you love and better understand your career drivers.
Our hub locations
We’re proud of our heritage and the positive impact we have on our local communities. Our hub locations are in Glasgow and Newcastle (Gosforth). We recognise the importance of in-person connections and how they shape your learning experience.
If you join one of our Early Careers programmes, you’ll be expected to spend some time in the office connecting with colleagues and building strong working relationships in one of our collaborative hubs.
