What do I need to apply?

Our application process is quick and straightforward. We'll ask you a few brief questions and can’t wait to hear why you're interested in working at Virgin Money and are drawn to that specific job. We'll also request your CV giving you the perfect opportunity to showcase the incredible person you are. Let your uniqueness and brilliance shine through!

Will you keep me updated?

Applications are reviewed by the hiring managers and you’ll be advised by email or phone of the outcome (which we hope will be positive). We’ll try to update as soon as we can but sometimes it can take a little longer if we’ve been lucky to get a lot of interest.

We’d love to talk!

Our interviews can vary depending on the job, but we’ll always let you know what to expect so you can prepare. Finding new colleagues who feel drawn to our values and behaviours is super important which is why we’ll always ask some questions related to these. Remember, your story is uniquely yours and we’re excited to hear it. We’ll want to learn about your skills and what you’ll bring to our team.

Tips to help you prepare

  • Do your research – be insatiably curious and be clear on why you want to work at Virgin Money. Make sure you're familiar with our values and behaviours.
  • Know your superpowers – be confident in why you’d be brilliant in this job and what experience / skills can you bring?
  • Prepare, Prepare, Prepare - ensure your answers are structured and detailed.
  • Interviews are a two-way street –think about those killer questions and your dealbreakers as we want to make sure we`re as right for you as you are for us.
  • Be open with us - let us know if there are any adjustments we can make, or any help we can give you to bring the best you.

Many of our interviews are virtual, some are in person. If you’re attending a store or hub, plan your journey in advance. Some have limited parking so ask us about available spaces and other options. If your interview is virtual, check your camera-compatible device is charged and ready to go. Make sure you're in a quiet, comfortable place. Dress as you would for an in-person interview so you look and feel the part. Log in early, have your CV and notes to hand, and have a pen and paper ready to jot anything down.

How do I stand out?

Interviews can be daunting but remember that we want you to do well. We’re keen to hear all about you so wow us with your story. Don’t be afraid to take things at your pace. If you need time to think about your answer, do so. If you need to hear the question again, just ask. Keep eye contact, smile and show your passion and enthusiasm but most importantly, be yourself. The chosen one – what happens next?

Brilliant, you’ve accepted the offer! Once you’ve signed your contract you’ll be inducted into the Virgin Money Hall of Fame. You’ll be given access to our Welcome Hub with loads of content to help immerse yourself into all things Virgin Money. If you're working remotely, you'll meet your team members via virtual sessions. Once you start you’ll have the opportunity to meet with other new colleagues in the business during our Welcome Sessions.
