Salary range: £38,400 - £48,000 per annum DOE + red-hot benefits

Exciting opportunities exist within our Agricultural Team across the UK right now.  Our Agri team supports farming businesses across the UK and is looking to continue to grow in the coming years. Our customers mean the world to us so if you have a passion for nurturing relationships then this might just be the role for you.  Everyday you’ll get to provide a top-class service to a network of small business customers, establishing their needs and thinking creatively about how you can deliver for them.   You’ll be working closely with a fantastic team to make sure we achieve our business goals and getting to stretch yourself on some complex cases.

What you’ll be doing

• Contribute to the team's financial performance and achievement of its overall business objectives.
• Ensure that you’re delivering a heartfelt service & delightfully surprise our customers by solving complex queries in a timely fashion & ensuring customer retention with robust and focussed conversations.
• Exhibit excellent attention to detail and care in data quality, and lending risk measurements with quality and proactive management of risk exposure within the portfolio.
• Prepare credit applications in respect of existing customers and new proposals, including the preparation and analysis of financial models.
• Develop strong relationships and provide new to bank customers with a seamless on-boarding experience, working collaboratively with colleagues across the business managing and monitoring the portfolio, ensuring compliance on all credit, operations, loan administration and other risk and administrative matters as necessary.
• Liaise effectively with customers, various Agency functions and Credit in respect of existing customer reviews and new requests.

We need you to have

• A passion for – and good knowledge of – supporting businesses and delivering outstanding customer service
• Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills (including Excel financial modelling skills) with an ability to understand and interpret financial statements and due diligence reports.
• Strong organisational, relationship and project management skills to deliver excellent levels of customer service, high standards of work and outstanding attention to detail.
• Capacity to cope with complex situations, tight deadlines and to have a flexible approach to challenges and problem solving.
• Good interpersonal skills and written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to assimilate, understand and efficiently present information to various stakeholders to produce effective lending outcomes.
• Be a strong team player.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

• A relevant vocational qualification is desirable, but not mandatory.
• Knowledge of systems and processes in a business banking/ financial services environment.
• Knowledge of lending and securities policy and procedures.
• Understanding of risk and compliance requirements in line with the role.
• Knowledge and empathy with the farming sector.
