We’re looking for a passionate, detail-driven professional who thrives in a collaborative, fast paced and purpose-led environment.  As part of our dynamic, forward-thinking team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of commercial success.  You won’t just maintain the framework — you’ll shape it. You’ll partner with senior stakeholders across Commercial, Risk, and other areas to strengthen and execute first-line controls, embed risk awareness, and provide support and guidance to our key stakeholders.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting the Business Bank to maintain compliance with Risk & Regulatory Frameworks including the non-Financial Risk Handbook, as well as in-force Regulations such as Market Abuse Regulation, Personal Account Dealing and Conflicts of Interest.
  • Execute key controls to support compliance with Market Abuse regulations including creation and management of Insider Lists, Information barriers and restricted systems access in relation to customer Insider Information.
  • Implement the organisation wide Personal Account Dealing pre-approval framework and associated process and procedures to manage individuals’ requests in a timely fashion.
  • Ongoing management of the central conflicts register, tracking and ensuring adherence to the relevant Sensitive Information Management Standards for specific business units and across the Bank.
  • Acting as an advisor to senior business leaders, embedding a strong control environment that supports commercial objectives while maintaining risk integrity.
  • Flex to meet changing demands of the Business and will be involved in other key tasks designed to maintain compliance with Market Abuse controls.
  • Continuously developing understanding in specific areas of Business Banking to provide risk management support.
  • Engaging with key stakeholders professionally and with integrity to generate productive working relationships at all levels of seniority.

We need you to have

  • Strong experience of working within or knowledge of risk and governance within Business/Commercial Banking.
  • Expert knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements applicable to listed companies, including the management of inside information, the use of information barriers under conflict management within large organisations, and personal account dealing rules.
  • A robust understanding of risk and control environments within a complex, fast-paced business (preferably within a Business/Commercial Bank)
  • Exception commercial acumen — you understand how risk management adds value, not friction.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to challenge senior leaders constructively.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • A university degree or equivalent experience in financial services
  • Competent use/knowledge of Microsoft 365
