The Product & Channels (P&C) team leads client-facing apps, web services and contact centre capability. As such our Senior Technical lead in Metrics and Analytics plays a vital role in leading the delivery of dashboards, measuring and identifying journeys performance, and promoting engineering excellence with a clear focus on engineering performance measures and improvement.

What you’ll be doing…

  • Developing and delivering end to end metrics for our customer journeys and, engineering value streams, alongside proactive strategies to not only understand how our customers manage their money buy understand how truly frictionless our services are.
  • Facilitate technical / business discussions to define the work to achieve the metrics outcomes.
  • Define metrics patterns, data marking and collection strategies to allow key data to be collected, stored and analysed. Working with partner teams to implement and maintain in journey development.
  • Bring strong analytical modelling and AI to provide engineering solutions to proactively identify deviations in tolerance levels resulting in failures, broken journeys, increased call volumes, and fallout rates.
  • Employ and manage the right people and use the right practices/tools to ensure best-in-class delivery and support capability.
  • Mentor and coach team members on important and relevant concepts. Ensure alignment with the objectives and metrics for the team.
  • Team members will include wider P&C journey developers and the Devops community.
  • Be hands on with team to develop business value driven solutions and solve problems.
  • Identify and challenge existing practices and mindsets to drive the best outcome.
  • Lead and drive end-to-end metrics delivery and coach others where needed to create software that meets expectations on delivery and code quality.
  • Works with relevant areas (e.g. Ways of working, DevOps, Release Management, QA, Risk) to enable Engineering and productivity metrics.
  • Where appropriate provides Supplier Relationship Management support or ownership.
  • Provide line management to permanent colleagues in the team.
  • Ensure the correct blend of resources within their team and the financial management of their team.
  • Demonstrate technical ownership and leadership for journey metric reporting and AI.

We need you to have…

  • Proven leadership experience in a technical role with a strong background in driving technical delivery.
  • 5+ years working in complex software development specifically data management and analytics, a working knowledge of Front and systems, API and Java Microservices is also essential.
  • 5+ years working in using statistical analysis and data visualization tools such as Power BI
  • Proven experience of leading dashboard creation and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and generate actionable insights.
  • Experience in developing and implementing performance measurement frameworks.
  • Financial management skills and experience managing team resources.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Commitment to fostering an environment of innovation and continuous improvement.
