Salary Range:  £68,800 - £86,000 per annum DOE + red-hot benefits
Location:  Hybrid with regular travel to a hub
Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term

This is an exciting opportunity to really get involved in how we communicate changes aligned to the integration of Virgin Money and Nationwide Building Society to our customers and the updating of any customer collateral associated with the integration.

What you’ll be doing

  • Defining a clear Integration customer communications strategy, and taking into account our customer segments, regulatory / contractual obligations and the needs of the wider Retail, Unsecured and Business departments.
  • Own the process to plan and execute integration campaigns to communicate change to our customer base.
  • Work with the Planning team to plan and land bulk communication campaigns in a coordinated way, and where queries can be fielded without breaking service.
  • Represent Virgin Money with influential internal and external (to Brand & Marketing) stakeholders.
  • Critically evaluate all Integration communication campaign performance, looking for reference points in the market to benchmark Virgin Money’s performance and drive a differentiated marketing experience compared to our competitors
  • Contributing to colleague development opportunities across the Integration Team, ensuring that the development is identified and prioritised.  Identifying opportunities to improve colleague advocacy and taking ownership to deliver.
  • Delivering all activity in line with our internal marketing and audit processes including the Customer Comms Frameworks and Customer Communications Policy.
  • Ensuring we adhere to the Virgin Money brand guidelines in all communication channels.

We need you to have

  • Experienced marketing professional with extensive experience across a range of marketing disciplines
  • Significant commercial marketing experience; commercially astute with proven ability to ascribe KPIs with tangible business value to marketing activities
  • Experience of integrating communication activity across traditional and digital marketing channels
  • Significant experience in utilising consumer insight to develop and deliver effective marketing strategies
  • Excellent understanding of the legal and regulatory environment of the financial services industry
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written coupled with excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive business relationships
  • Ability to make effective decisions in a timely manner
  • Experience of  influencing at Senior and Executive levels, both internally and with third-party suppliers
  • Ability to lead and inspire manage a team of senior marketers and to foster development in “direct” and “indirect” reports
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present to B&M LT and wider Virgin Money team.

If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks – we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
