Our Team

We are looking for a savvy Data Analyst and Insights expert to join our Performance, Engagement and Development team, within HR & Comms. We’re a small but mighty team, with a diverse & fast-paced workload and passion for collaboration. As a Data Analyst, you will play a key role in the enhancement and delivery of all data and insight initiatives within the team and contribute to our strategic goals.  

What you’ll be doing

The Engagement & Culture Data Analyst is expected to undertake the following key responsibilities plus any other reasonable duties as required:

  • Meticulous planning, coordination, and delivery of data analysis and insights for the Performance, Engagement & Development team.
  • Lead on key data initiatives and ensure the conscientious end-to-end project planning of data aspects of projects, including, but not limited to, implementation, testing, and data analysis and results reporting from annual Engagement surveys and Pulse surveys.
  • Confidently collate, analyse and interpret data, ensuring they are used effectively across the business to turn insights into impactful actions.
  • Review and refresh the data approach with the team, whilst monitoring progress to inform engagement, culture, performance and development projects which will drive strategic decision making.
  • Build relationships and work in partnership with team members, HRBPs, Business Engagement Reps and other stakeholders across the Bank and report on data analysis and support stakeholders to understand analysis and insights, with the ability to present and explain data in an accessible way to diverse audiences.
  • Development and implementation of data dashboarding systems where required.
  • Provide specialist data advice across the team and make recommendations to key stakeholders at Virgin Money to improve and enhance data strategies and initiatives.

We need you to have

  • Extensive experience working within a data and systems environment (e.g. SAP, Microsoft Office skills including O365 suite, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and PowerBI).
  • Experience in developing and documenting data solutions and principles with stakeholder input.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, data accuracy skills and analysis and modelling experience.
  • Extensive experience of extracting data from multiple sources, analysis of correlations, differences and identifying patterns, and presenting the data and providing commentary.
  • Inclusive in your approach - able to develop the right data solutions for diverse audiences and experience levels.
  • Consultancy and collaboration in order to develop appropriate solutions and supporting others to understand data and insights.
  • Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously and juggling priorities, and delivery focused and the ability to adapt to change.
  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills with an exceptional ability to work with external and internal partners and stakeholders and liaise with diverse groups in order to coordinate and manage tasks.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Related experience in Banking or Financial Services.
  • Experience of working in a HR Centre of Excellence.
  • A knowledge and practical understanding of Agile project management.
