What you’ll be doing
• Ensuring that security requirements are identified, and comprehensive solutions are designed to address them, considering factors such as confidentiality, integrity, and availability of assets
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as IT, operations, and compliance, to understand their security needs and align solutions with business objectives
• Provide leadership and guidance to the cyber business consultancy team in delivering security advisory services to clients
• Set strategic direction and objectives for the consultancy team, aligning them with the organization's overall security strategy
• Oversee the implementation of security solutions, ensuring effective deployment and integration with existing systems
• Develop and oversee the execution of project plans, coordinating resources and monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery of security solutions
• Ensuring the team conducts rigorous testing, monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives to evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of security solutions
• Ensuring the team conducts thorough risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential weaknesses and recommend enhancements to security solutions

We need you to have
• Significant experience in designing, implementing, and managing security solutions within a complex organisational environment
• Proven track record in leading and delivering successful security solution projects from initiation to completion
• In-depth knowledge of security solution development methodologies and best practices
• Comprehensive understanding of security architectures, frameworks, and technologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in the context of security solution design and implementation
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and evaluating third-party security solutions

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential
• Familiarity with a variety of information technologies, tools, and methodologies from mainframe through to serverless.
• Proven ability to stay updated on emerging security trends, threats, and best practices.
• Familiarity with risk management principles and methodologies.

If you're successful in securing a role with us, there are some checks you need to complete before starting. These include credit and criminal record checks and three years' worth of satisfactory references. If the role is part of the Senior Manager Regime and Certification Regime, it requires enhanced pre-employment checks – we'll ask for six years of regulatory references, and once in the role, you'll be subject to periodic employment checks.
