We are looking for an analytical professional with insatiable curiosity to innovate, learn and run insight and reporting processes to help business deliver our strategy.

At the heart of our mission is an ambition for continued growth.  You'll play a key role in developing, analysing and delivering key forecasting and reporting across our business lending portfolio utilising our data to create, produce and report analytics and key performance measures which provide insight and trends, track delivery of our ambition and identification of potential issues or opportunities.

This will involve regular engagement across our business and with key stakeholders in order to understand progress of customer opportunities and the impact on the portfolio, improving our understanding of origination and attrition flows across all lending products. Our Team

It’s an exciting time to be joining our Business Performance team. Supporting Business Banking, we are responsible for a range of initiatives that enable success across the Business Bank, including; portfolio and performance insights; large lending pricing oversight, colleagues learning and engagement; portfolio strategy and sustainable finance.

What you’ll be doing

  • Create insight capability focused on Business lending forecasting to support delivery of financial plan and aid the identification of resolution of issues.
  • Utilise our data to develop and produce Business Banking analytics and insight capabilities across all our business segments. 
  • Reviewing our opportunities and operating our process of forecasting lending pipeline and portfolio impact, including ensuring data accuracy. 
  • Regular engagement with Finance on performance, planning and future plans. 
  • Providing regular reporting and insight through weekly, monthly and quarterly performance monitoring up to Business Leadership Team level.
  • Establish, maintain & develop a network of internal stakeholders to promote Business and provide healthy challenge and collaboration.
  • Involvement across range of team activities, including key performance initiatives and reporting.

We need you to have

  • A keen eye for detail, being able to interpret data from multiple sources, problem solve, picking up themes and opportunities.
  • Demonstrable experience of working on own initiative, applying an understanding of the deliverables of the role and against ad-hoc requirements.
  • First class inter-personal skills, coupled with strong influencing abilities and a can-do attitude to keep focussed on delivering the right business outcome.
  • The ability to quickly build positive working relationships with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office Tools, specifically Excel and base knowledge of Power Platform (particularly PowerBI). 
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages and ideas to a variety of stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and understanding of risk and compliance requirements.

It’s a bonus if you have but not essential

  • Business or Business Banking background
  • A data / computing / mathematical related qualification desirable but not essential and/or proven track record in a similar role.
  • Working experience of Business Banking processes.
  • Experience of communicating complex problems.
